At virtually the last minute, the 1999 Ms. Olympia was held together with the 1999 Extravaganza Pro show, and promoters Bob Bonham and Ken Kassel dropped the bodybuilder strength contest that year due to time constraints. In its place, there was a small Pro Fitness Strength Contest, and the amateur bodybuilding and fitness shows were held. For the fitness strength show, four pros; Cynthia Bridges, Min Kim, Lindsay Mulinazzi and Darlene Karzoncic and two amateurs from the bodybuilding show; Heather Lackner and Jessica Bixler competed against each other for one-arm pushups, curls and holding a straddle.
